SRK invited select media to his home for a more personal cake-cutting celebration

Shah Rukh Khan is known to throw lavish parties on his birthday. This year he celebrated it in a unique way. He invited select media to his home for a more personal cake-cutting celebration. He turns 42 on 2nd November. He is very excited for new film 'Om Shanti Om', which is releasing on Diwali, 9th November. He seems just as happy about the film's premiere in London on November 8, and the extended vacation he plans to go on thereafter.

Shahrukh Khan the Charmer!

Actress Vidya Malvade is all praise for Shahrukh Khan and says that he has charm oozing out of his sleeves and everywhere else. She will soon be seen in a film titled Chak De India which will have her with Shahrukh and the film is produced by the Yash Raj camp and the director is Shimit Amin (of Ab Tak Chhappan fame). Of course she is excited about working with the Yash Raj banner and feels that it is a world completely different than other places.

She was lucky to get the role as Aditya Chopra had her in mind for the role after having seen her performance on the show in Zoom TV. She also tells us that she essays a very simple and underplayed character which people might not want to give a second look to. Vidya plays a hockey player and Shahrukh is the coach for her. She emphasizes that Shahrukh is a complete gentleman and is very down to earth and committed to his work.
